I like that Rebecca
Sugar said that her characters need their privacy. I’ve always thought that
fictional characters needed their privacy too, even ones that I write myself.
Whenever I force myself to break that privacy, I feel bad, so if she ever decides
to put out new Steven Universe content, that’ll be on her/the characters’
terms.
DC pulled all of its
content from the streaming service I use, so no more Teen Titans Go for me
(unless Cartoon Network makes it more easily available – I had to stop watching
Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated because I couldn’t get full episodes to play
on their site, but times are different now. Still, no big loss if I can’t. I’ve
still got DuckTales. I loved the third episode not because of the plot but
moments like Scrooge getting hooked on Skeeball and Webby trying to make him
stop hoarding tickets. The cameo by Gadget and the rest of the Rescue Rangers
was great too.
Whose Line came back
early, and they’re doing a podcast of sorts from Wayne’s YouTube channel (The
Official WayneBrady). Patterson wants them to promote the show, which is
apparently the most popular one on The CW right now. The first episode got off
to a great start with Amber Riley and included a game of mixed messages that
ended with Wayne face-timing someone just for everyone to flip them off for
questioning whether they were still on the air. Both episodes so far featured a
Helping Hands segment that involved a ring being hidden in a baked good.
Fruits Basket Season 2
has started with Yuki meeting Machi and Kakeru. The way Aaron said Kakeru’s
lines sounded like how Todd would’ve done it, so that’s cool (shout-out to Todd
as Murphy in Resident Evil 3 Remake for all of three seconds). Episode 2 was
about Tohru and Kyo going to Kazuma’s house. It felt off when Kyo smacked Tohru
in the face and asked if he should do it again when in the manga it was about
the noise she made rather than Tohru needing to stop zoning out. Laura did make
a funny noise though. Next time is finally the episode with Ayame and Mine’s
shop.
Adam trying to get the
decorative fleur-de-lis off Jeff’s podium was either going to be amazing or
hilariously bad (it was the latter). That thing was pre-rendered and therefore
unobtainable.
