Critical Roles

I don't think Demyx is the Master of Masters because Xigbar probably would've sensed that; the Foretellers recognized him as Luxu even though he looks and sounds completely different now (unless they were like "well there's no one else this person could possibly be"). I can't wait for Maleficent to actually do something again. In the comic I'm drawing, I now have to make up what that something is since she didn't accomplish anything other than finding out Xigbar has the box at the very end. Maybe since Radiant Garden wasn't playable, she didn't go there, as she was only following Sora. I thought for sure she would've checked the castle for the book at least, provoking a confrontation (like when she held Minnie hostage in Dream Drop Distance). I hope we haven't seen the last of those guys if we're going to be following Xigbar now. I'm at the part of my comic where he comes back from the Keyblade Graveyard to let them know he's okay and tell them what's happening. They take the news that he's Luxu pretty hard. Even wants to know why he's kept it a secret for all these years, and Xigbar says he knew Even would never believe him. Dilan and Aeleus aren't thrilled that the man they knew never existed and that maybe they were never really friends. Ienzo just wants to know whether or not he's going to leave again, and Ansem tells him it's okay if there's somewhere else he needs to be. Xigbar doesn't know what to say to any of that, but then Maleficent does show up. And that's as far as I've gotten.

I'm happy they got the principal cast back for the new Fruits Basket series, while most other roles will be recast. Colleen Clinkenbeard is a great choice for Akito, all things considered. Interestingly, Tia Ballard (Marron) will now be voicing Kagura, who used to be voiced by Meredith McCoy (Android 18). I see what they did there. While I was thinking Vic could be a good fit for Katsuya Honda (based on nothing other than his proximity to other characters voiced by Laura Bailey, specifically in Soul Eater), I'm not sure if he's going to win his legal battle or what's happening with his career. There are plenty of people who could do it, after all. While Aaron Dismuke can't be Hiro again, they could have him voice someone else (maybe Naohito?). I think Todd Haberkorn would be a good choice for Manabe. I'm really looking forward to what the expanded cast will look like. Will Mike McFarland return as Ritsu? I wonder what role Caitlin Glass will play - I'm hoping Mayuko-sensei.

Fruity Lucky Charms is not much different from Frankenberry, to be honest. Chocolate Lucky Charms shouldn't be that different from Count Chocula either, but the Monster cereals might have the edge here. I know I enjoyed Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles a lot more.

Tops

The Dunkin Donuts pumpkin coffee is better than the Starbucks one. I don't need the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte in my life, but the Dunkin one is like drinking a pumpkin spice donut, which is delightful. I'm thinking of trying the Irish cream coffee for St. Patrick's Day plus whatever the holiday gimmick donut is, hopefully something good. I feel like I should because of my Irish heritage. Until Geoff talked about it, I didn't know what an Irish goodbye was. The only one I know is exactly the opposite, where you have to find and hug everyone in the house before you leave. The M&Ms have different peanut flavors again, and this time I actually care. English toffee is AMAZING. Coconut's good too. Lay's Do Us A Flavor is also back, and the only reason I passed up the beer cheese flavor is that it's just another cheese flavored chip that I'll probably like anyway. Lime and Sea Salt is new and exciting. Normally I can't taste the hint of lime in corn chips, but the potato chips taste like they were soaked in lime juice. Golden Oreo O's is very sugary, so I'm glad I passed up the powdered donut ones. I still think chocolate Oreos are better as both cookies and cereal, barring the graham cookies used for certain flavors like carrot cake or key lime pie.

I always saw Top 5 as Walter's show, but clearly it wasn't, as Doug's executive meddling was on full display earlier. I still watch it sometimes, especially regarding Power Rangers, Goosebumps, and Are You Afraid of the Dark? I wish it was on Walter's channel (same with Tamara's Never Seen - I loved the Clue episode). Now it's cancelled, and Walter is moving on to another project. Channel Awesome remains the Doug Walker show. At least the final [regular] episode was a decent one and that their favorite episode of Boy Meets World is also mine.

I enjoyed that the new character Travis played in The Search for Grog was basically Cameron Campbell, switching triumphantly back to Grog when they retrieved his soul. It was nice to hear the actors reprise their roles as Vox Machina (except Vax, but Liam was still cool). I don't know if this is a reflection on Taliesin or not, but I can readily remember quotes from three of his characters. Percy: Your secret is safe with my indifference. Mollymauk: I am your god! Long may I reign! Caduceus: We're running. It's bad.

Second Thoughts (KH3)

Thinking about it, since Xigbar didn't return to normal, Demyx and Vexen wouldn't have either. That means they would've had to be voluntarily taken out, which Demyx wouldn't like and Vexen would accept as part of his atonement. I think the real reason he had Demyx do the delivery is that he didn't want to face the others just yet; it's probably the same reason he didn't try to talk to any of them before he went for a walk (also he realizes he was the first to go and the last to get up, so there's some level of embarrassment there as well, plus anger towards Lea). He and Demyx probably returned during or after the war and had Dilan and Aeleus destroy their Nobody forms using their weapons so they could be reconstituted. Speaking of which, Saix's death reminds me of Xion's a little bit, with Lea holding him like Roxas held her.

Originally I'd hoped that Ienzo would make friends with everybody and interact with them in the end, but I guess after everything that's happened he's going to continue living that hermit life and only communicate via Instagram when he feels like it. Why did they focus on him tapping his fingers while he was on the phone talking to Sora if not to show that he has social anxiety? He pushes himself to always be calm, collected, and polite, but it doesn't come easily to him. He's a good egg, and that's all that matters. (Great, now I'm thinking about abridged Vegeta's "MY BABY BOY!" coming out of DiZ's mouth in Chain of Memories.)

I realized I had to change the ending of my Mikage story (I'll leave the other one alone for now since that was my coping mechanism for nearly dying and other things, so it's less important to update and get right). I'm glad that Dilan and Even were stable enough for Aeleus and Ienzo to transfer them to their respective bedrooms, so that part may change. Starting with Even being abducted, Sayuri has to deal with the fact that all but a few people have disappeared again. I'm still leaving Larxene as "Relena-senpai" because it's too late to go back on that now as well as the four of them being from Radiant Garden instead of Daybreak Town. Sayuri freaks out when she sees Demyx has yellow eyes, but he doesn't seem to mind. When Even does return, she gets mad at him for making them all worry, going as far as to hit him with his own pillow. I've been wanting to ship her with somebody but there are no real viable candidates. Isa had Lea kill her, so they're pretty much out. Demyx probably is the best choice, but he wouldn't want to be tied down ("If you like your sitar so much why don't you marry it?"). She views Ienzo as a brother, and her feelings towards Dilan are more like a silly schoolgirl crush that I assumed a lot of girls her age would have. She still has a dad and uncles, so I don't know where her attachment to Even and Ansem comes from (except for the fact that they're around and have personalities she's somewhat used to dealing with and can appreciate).

The Same and the New

Brad tried Pop-Tarts cereal, which apparently existed in the 90s too but I don't remember it either. I haven't seen it in the store yet, but I don't go to WalMart and they usually get everything first. The Nilla banana pudding cereal was pretty good if you like bananas and marshmallows. It wasn't too sweet-tasting, which is good. I wish there were actual banana-flavored Nilla wafers instead of lemon. I also picked up Fruity Lucky Charms, so that should be interesting.

What I said about Teen Titans Go! over New Year's still holds true - cute outfits on Raven, but Robin needs to stop hitting Beast Boy for no reason. It would've been better if Starfire's Johnny Appleseed was planting seeds with one hand and flipping off the animals with the other, but they're not going to cross that line. The Girl Scout cookie episode was the best one in a while with the way Starfire went power mad selling cookies. People do like the thin mints.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers is awesome. The place where they're training in the beginning looks a lot like the original youth center. The plot kind of resembles Jungle Fury with Blaze being a jerk to future Red Ranger Devon. Devon, much like Preston, is the mayor's son. Nate's adorable and says Billy's catchphrases (although "phenomenal" instead of "morphinomenal" is probably for the best). Originally he was listed on the Wiki as the Gold Ranger but they have the Gold Ranger's identity as TBA now. Maybe it was a spoiler or they changed it like they did in Dino Charge. Zoey's introduction reminded me of Sophie from SPD for some reason, probably because she's a low-level trainee. I don't see why Ravi and Roxy couldn't still date even though they're both  Ranger candidates. It's not like that's ever been a problem before, but apparently this organization doesn't like dating in the workplace (but nepotism is fine, as Ravi is the commander's son).

The Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded light novel is set to come out in August (assuming no delays like with 358/2 Days last year). I didn't know one was written, but if it can clear up anything else that the new cutscenes didn't, that's great. Otherwise, it's still a big waste of everyone's time (recapped in Rong Rong's nutshell video by Namine messing with Jiminy's journal and DiZ telling her to stop). I wonder if Back Cover or any other part of the mobile game's story will be adapted. The only one I know of that's still to come is Dream Drop Distance. I assume the side stories were combined into the omnibuses of the games they would've taken place in.

More Thoughts and Questions (KH3)

Story DLC for KH3 is coming out at the end of the year, but what it is exactly may still be a mystery. They say it'll fill in some story plot holes the game has, but there's a lot so I'm not expecting them to do a thorough job. It's better than nothing, but it'd better be good. I still don't know how I feel about the ending or even if I understand what happened. I'm putting off on making the video too since there are nine hours worth of cutscenes to go through. The only downside, again, is how long this is taking. We'll be playing the guessing game of who's coming in to record and who's lying about not being asked. If we try to fill in the blanks ourselves and are proven wrong, we have almost a whole year of backtracking to do in order to fix it. Here are some questions I'm still pondering, but they're not all that important to the overall story. Shout-out to The Roundtable and Awestruck Vox. I get that Lapis is your baby girl. Ienzo is sort of my baby boy now (though he's really Ansem's and I love it).

~Why do Isa and Lea keep sneaking into the castle BEFORE the fifteen-year-old girl shows up? In Birth By Sleep, I thought they were going to ask to become apprentices, but apparently they just got a kick out of breaking and entering that place. If people tried that at the White House, they'd just get shot. The only time they can get in anyway is when Aeleus and Dilan aren't outside, like when Even called them inside to a meeting with Ansem. They're not being clever, just opportunistic. That's not just a government building, that's someone's home!

~Isa's secret report also mentioned the noises that came from the castle at night. How late at night? I'm guessing Ienzo was in bed by then. Everything in this game really made it sound like following Xehanort was the worst thing the kid had done. He was probably not involved in the morally questionable experiments, as he was not a full apprentice yet and a child. Ansem's test subjects were children, and if they weren't all from the mobile game that had just lost their memories, I'm kind of worried about Ienzo in danger of being experimented on too, or why he would've been exempt. That sort of breaks my theory that the people they kept in cages were criminals. You don't treat test subjects like that, especially not children!

~I'd assumed that since Xaldin was telling the Beast to give up on Belle (like Forte) was because he'd suffered heartbreak as a somebody and that's why he was prepared to give up his heart to Xehanort. I thought it was because he'd gotten dumped, but if he was also told that Ansem had gone mad and abandoned them, he would've been affected by that as well. He mentions something like that in the light novel for KH2, and he was shown getting emotional when Ansem returned in 3. He was fiercely loyal to Ansem, and like with Ienzo, Xehanort had to go and break his spirit, and that's why Xaldin was always in a bad mood (not helped after the events of Castle Oblivion where he lost three of his companions).

~Even's whole shtick about Ansem not supporting his research might have been true at one time, maybe a reason to support Xehanort banishing him. He's not surprised in the slightest to see Ansem once he's rescued him, and one of the first things out of his mouth is that he wants to atone. Even was just as responsible for everything that happened under both Ansem and Xehanort. What I don't get is why he hung around in pirate world with Luxord (or why everyone pronounces Luxord differently now, or why Vexen talks down to him the way he does) for so long. Even after Jack did the breath thing on Luxord that he did to Will in the movie, Even was still on the ship in the maelstrom (which was caused by a sea goddess, by the way) just to find out about Davy Jones' heart in a box. The guy has no interest in magic or the supernatural, and yet that's all this is. Anyone could've told him that's what was going on and not to waste his time because it would just make him angry (except "It's magic, I don't have to explain it"). He didn't like it when Namine did it, so he's sure not going to like this. It's not like he secretly wants to play pirate too (though my theory that he took some theater classes as a kid is looking pretty likely). Maybe if he didn't always have a stick up his butt, he'd actually make a great pirate. Never seen him with his hood up before, either; it made his hair look fabulous. (Also people should be getting hanged in Port Royal for associating with pirates right now.)

~Sora was supposed to be the 13th darkness in Dream Drop Distance. Assuming they had everyone else they needed at that point despite fading away, that means they were only missing Even (who was still unstable). Everyone else with their hoods up could've been placeholder replicas or they could've been got already. In the manga, Vexen had already used those replicas to make clones of himself. Even confirmed for Pumat Sol.

Was It Something I Said?

Got sick again thanks to having to sweat a lot in a cold outdoor work environment. Noticed that only one person reads these now. I thought it was to avoid Kingdom Hearts spoilers, but it was probably my post about birth control. I thought I was being brave, but I guess talking about my weight and health problems just put everybody off my blog. Sorry. Anyway, the comment sections of Kingdom Hearts discussion videos are toxic. I get attacked no matter where I go or what I say. Recently I got dumped on for agreeing with something the person in the video said. If you disagree with what was said in the video, don't attack people's positive comments and just stick to making your own. Incidentally, threads about birth control problems aren't much better. People have different experiences and don't take each other's problems seriously. People just suck. That's why I knew I couldn't talk to anyone about my problems, but present-day strangers are just as cruel and uncaring as the people I grew up with.

While Kingdom Hearts wouldn't crossover with Persona, the yellow eyes thing has me thinking about shadows. If the yellow eyes aren't necessarily tied to Xehanort, then it could be something like that. At least it would be if the Kingdom Hearts series wasn't inconsistent. The things Vexen was saying about his efforts not being recognized are what made me think it was something like that. He obviously would've meant it at some point even if he's remorseful now and wants to atone. Clearly Vexen and Even aren't two separate entities like in Persona, but thematically it makes sense. As a scientist, he's someone who'd want to "reach out to the truth" too.

Here's a snippet of something I'm working on. I've got at least four different versions (world lines?) for Kingdom Hearts 3, so it's a lot to figure out.
While waiting for the data to compile, Ienzo decided to make his first Instagram post. "A true scholar finds clues to the future in the mistakes of his past." #testpost #exorganization #zexionVI #radiantgarden #crackingthecode
Raven looked over and caught him making faces at his phone, so she decided to tease him. "What are you doing?" she asked.
"Uh, n-nothing!" Ienzo exclaimed, trying to hide his phone.
She was able to take it from him pretty easily. "First time on social media, huh?"
Ienzo looked embarrassed. "Did I not do it right?"
"It's fine. You're such a nerd."
"Oh..." Ienzo looked confused. "I thought I was being thorough."
Raven giggled. "But you're my nerd."
"Should we take one together then?"
"Sure, why not? Just don't drown it in hashtags."
"Okay." Ienzo took a picture with Raven leaning on his shoulder. "Quality time with my girlfriend." #raven #relationshipgoals #radiantgarden
This immediately got the attention of Ienzo's new friends. Hayner liked it. Pence commented "Nice!" Olette commented "What a cute couple!"
"That was fast. Apparently we're cute," Ienzo said, blushing. Raven blushed too.

Top 10 Amy Farrah Fowler Moments

With the Big Bang Theory ending, MsMojo has made a few videos to commemorate it. I thought of doing a list of my top 10 Amy moments, either involving Sheldon or Penny and Bernadette. It was pretty difficult, but it's definitely a different list than theirs. I stopped watching a while ago, so most of their entries were new to me. My list contains entries that stood out to me but I don't necessarily 100% like and others that made me laugh.

10. The chair. Penny drags in a chair off the street that happens to have a rat living in it. As Penny and Amy run down the stairs screaming, Penny asks her not to tell Sheldon in order to avoid an "I told you so." Amy agrees but says she'll have to tell her doctor because the rat may have given her a disease. Penny says that that's fair. The chair is later picked up by Howard and Raj.

9. Ditching movie night for girls night. "I'm a girl." While Amy missed out on waiting in line and getting thwarted by Wil Wheaton, Amy opted to participate in girls night for the first time. Good for her.

8. The tiara. While an honorable mention on the MsMojo list, I tapped this moment for its silliness as Amy's mood turns on a dime once Sheldon gives her this gift. "I'm a princess and this is my tiara. Put it on me!"

7. Speaking of, there was the time when Amy and Bernadette went to Disneyland with Penny instead of attending the lecture they were guest speakers at as female scientists. They ended up adding their two cents over the phone while made up as Disney princesses with a drunken Penny suffering in the background. It made for a memorable Women's Day episode nonetheless.

6. Her harp playing. She plays (and sings) "The Girl from Ipanema" and Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive" in different episodes, usually followed by an interruption involving Sheldon, whether she's pining for him or waiting for him to join in.

5. Too much coffee liqueur. Penny complains to Amy and Bernadette about Priya while serving them ice cream with coffee liqueur on top. Amy uses too much and becomes intoxicated, taunting Priya when they leave the apartment. Penny has too apologize for her, stating that she's had too much ice cream.

4. Speaking of, Amy's first kiss with Sheldon also involved her being drunk. Sheldon asks to talk to "smart Amy." After they kiss, Amy gets up and says, "Please don't take this as a commentary on what we just did" and goes to the bathroom to throw up. Sheldon takes care of her before leaving. Dialogue earlier in the episode had Amy saying things like "You smell like baby powder" and "My burps taste like cranberry juice."

3. Amy tricks her mother into thinking she and Sheldon are sexually active to get her off her back. This was earlier in the series where Amy and Sheldon enjoyed defying social norms together before their relationship became more serious. I chose this moment over their meme experiment when they lied to their friends about Amy being pregnant, though both showcase the two scheming together and having fun.

2. Threatening to leave Sheldon for a horse breeder named Armin. Frustrated by Sheldon's choosing a gaming marathon over her family function, Amy threatens him with the imaginary boyfriend that she used to have to use to placate her family. This works about as well as you'd expect. "Armin who?" "Damn it."

1. Giving Sheldon instructions for giving himself a shoulder massage. This moment shows the great amount of trust between them. Sheldon exclaims, "My hands are magic!" to which Amy responds, "They are dumb instruments guided by my knowledge of the human body. I could have just as easily paralyzed you."
