Strange Santas

Nostalgia Critic already did his top 12 best Santas list, but I've been thinking about the strangest, most unorthodox Santas I've seen. Since the Critic already listed Jack Skellington, I'll omit him this time...Also because he'd take first place again otherwise. Probably.

6. Elder Ham from Hamtaro. He was obviously the one who gave presents to Boss and Snoozer and got sort of dressed up when wandering the mall unbeknownst to the other hamsters who were there looking for the human Santa.

5. Master Splinter from TMNT-2003. There may not be anything that strange about Splinter dressing up as Santa (with the Turtles dressed as elves) and delivering the toys to the orphanage. It's probably just the strangest (and best) Christmas the orphans probably had, given the other inter-dimensional guests that came with them (Usagi, Gen, the Daimyo, a super hero...).

4. The Father Cat from Azumanga Daioh. Chiyo knows that Santa Claus is just her father. Sakaki has other ideas. Like all her other ideas, it reduces her to a quivering mass. Even Osaka has to ask her if she's okay on this one.

3. Tuxedo Mask from the Sailor Moon S movie. This movie had nothing to do with Christmas, as I recall. Tokyo is under attack by the Snow Witch Kaguya, and this guy just decides to show up to the battle in a sleigh wearing a Santa suit. Biggest WTF moment I can think of, as it came straight out of nowhere for no reason.

2. Robot Santa from Futurama. Mentioned by the Critic but not actually on his list. Leela's delivery of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" says it all. John Goodman as an evil Santa cannot be outmatched, with the possible exception of...

1. The Santa Abomination from Invader ZIM. This is not ZIM as Santa - this is the monster his suit turned into at the end of the episode. It's the reason they built the shield around the planet with a giant plate of cookies and milk to keep him at bay.

(From the Critic's list, my favorite is Mickey Rooney Santa - every incarnation of him.)
