The Pokemon 4Ever review included Justin leaving, now permanently, so that was kind of off-putting, especially since I thought it would be the four of them reviewing it and not JO taking JW's place. I agree with Lewis that Tracy shouldn't have been cut from it - he wasn't in it that much to begin with, like Brock in Pokemon 2000. Now that everyone seems to have paid their respects by now, I think the healing can begin and we can move on from this.
Otherwise, this image caption just about sums it up:

Watching the Jon Paula LPs I've discovered how much PETA hates Pokemon and thinks way too highly of itself (or at least is like the Tea Party is to Republicans and merely contains an uncontrollable faction of crazed zealots). The two Pokemon games they came out with were just stupid, self-righteous BS showing that they themselves don't understand the first thing about the show (they paint Ash as evil and glorify the likes of Team Plasma). No one wants to see gory abused Pokemon because that's not what the franchise is about. Their depiction of Ronald McDonald was also some nightmare fuel for the ages, and Grimmace is somehow included in the circle of abused creatures. WTF? If that weren't enough, they also think anyone who likes Pokemon Snap is an animal abuser because the game involves throwing apples and pester balls at Pokemon to take their pictures. They really need to step down from their soap box and actually provide help for mistreated animals that actually do need their help. These games aren't the problem. The problem is idiots like the person who tried to break into a pet store on a cold winter's eve and free the animals to let them roam amidst traffic. Think about it.
Pokemon Best Wishes: It's not that I don't still like Pokemon, but this season so far has been kinda messed up. First of all, the narrator still says Ash is ten. This is not possible. His journeys through the previous regions must have taken about a year each. Also, he's supposedly grown as a trainer each time, finishing closer to first in each league taking him a step closer to achieving his goal. That being said, someone also must have pushed the reset button on Ash's brain. You do not catch Pokemon just by throwing a Pokeball. The exception is weak or willing Pokemon. The ones in the field were not that. No wonder people treat him like an idiot. However, the Unova region people seem to have a bias against anyone from Kanto, or as they call it, the boonies. Kanto is the boonies? That seems ridiculous and ignorant since nobody here seems to have been outside their own region and know no more about other regions' Pokemon than Ash does about theirs and yet he's the only one called out for being a fool. He may be the "foreigner" but they look stupid just as often if not moreso. Ash is more well-traveled than they are, and he should act like it more often, but in the beginning he was only supposed to be a tourist with his mom and Professor Oak. People in Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh were never this rude. The rival is arrogant, but that's to be expected (stupid Zekrom making Pikachu look bad). Iris got on my nerves pretty quickly, and even Oshawatt is a b*tch. I wish they would just shut up and go away. You know it's bad when I'm more interested in what Team Rocket is up to since in previous seasons I wished they weren't there. Hail Giovanni! The East Unova Gyms got shoved in there from the new Black and White games instead of journeying to Iris' hometown and having a Misty moment. But I guess that’s yet to come.
In the new generation of Pokemon, I have some new favorites. Gourgeist is obviously a big hit with me because I love Halloween. Another I find amusing is Hawlucha. Those would be my number one and two picks if I played this game or had continued my Pokemon fan fiction. I don't think the mega evolutions were necessary, but I am interested in two of them in particular. Other than the fact that Mega Kangaskhan addresses the question of the baby Kangaskhan's growth, my two picks here would be Mega Houndoom (which I've nicknamed the hell hound) and Mega Absol (which I have nicknamed Alicorn Absol). Mega Stones sound better than the indivdual Pokemon names for them (ex. Mewtwonite) but are not to be confused with Mega Balls. Furthermore mega evolution (which was shown to be temporary in the Pokemon Origin OVA) is too close to mega digivolution, but I'm sure this wasn't intentional. Speaking of Digimon, Vic Mignogna is in the main cast as Christopher/Kiriha plus MadLeomon. He was also Keldeo and other minor characters in Pokemon. That guy gets around. I'm also happy some of the regulars are back, but weird to hear their voices coming out of new characters (especially since their old characters come back in the end; that's going to be freaky).
Digimon Fusion will also feature a Death General by the name of NeoVamdemon (probably going to be changed to NeoMyotismon, but we can't count on that just yet). He has nothing to do with the same Myotismon who was the big bad of seasons one and two, and like other DIgimon we're familiar with probably won't be voiced by the same actor as before. Since absorbing and combining with other Digimon is the norm for this season, the thing that makes him a villain (besides blatantly being one) is that the Digimon he kidnaps and absorbs are not willing participants. No surprise there. He's not the only villain to do so, though; therefore, his tenure as a villain is more symbolic than it is an enduring physical threat.
Myotismon was more like the classic interpretation of a vampire. He slept in a coffin and traveled around in an old carriage for some reason. While he couldn't turn into a bat, he traveled with a swarm of them that did his bidding. It seems to be the trend now that vampires don't have to turn into bats in order to fly, and I accept that. It's actually more logical that way since vampires now seem to have powers (mind control was always one of them, but now there are other things; Myotismon was no exception). No offense to Richard Epcar, who voiced him in the English dub, but why did women find him attractive? If this guy drove by me in a carriage, stopped, and got out, I would be running the other way and trying to avoid any dark alleys I might come across. Since he was a Digimon, why did he have to have nightly feastings on the blood of young ladies, even if it was the human world? What did he do in the Digital World before that?
VenomMyotismon was like a mutated form of vampire monster thing. Instead of blood, he needed energy to survive. This included sacrificing his entire entourage of bats and swallowing DemiDevimon whole (Derek Stephen Prince is awesome, BTW). I guess that's what happens when you Digivolve from the ashes, but it kind of ruined the heroes' crowning moment of badass at the time to avenge Wizardmon's death. And even after they defeated this guy he still had to possess someone else's body because the writers still weren't done with him.
MaloMyotismon lived off Yukio Oikawa for the three-to-four year period between seasons one and two. Like the classic villain that he is, he uses his minions just to survive and then tosses them when he's done with them. Possession may be less vampiric than it is demonic (Vamdemon possibly being a combination of the words "vampire" and "demon"), but it's just another way of getting life energy. Countless of villains have done it. He makes his enemies not want to fight him and his hapless pawns incapable of fighting him, but since he's the villain (and Davis refuses to succumb to that kind of defeatism or allow anyone else to for that matter) he loses everything in the end.
I just realized that Wizardmon was Gandalf, and Gatomon had the one ring of power. Also, Myotismon and WereGarurumon's fight in the episode with Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon was a vampire versus a werewolf. Good thing Twilight wasn't around to ruin it for us back then.
